Scott Lang, PRESIDENT AND CEO
Scott, as President and CEO, is responsible for the vision, strategy and growth initiatives for Silver Spring Networks. Scott joined Silver Spring Networks in 2004, bringing more than 25 years of leadership, marketing, sales and management experience in the services and utility industries to the Company. Prior to Silver Spring Networks, Scott joined Perot Systems in 1988, shortly after the company’s founding. He spent 16 years with the company, most recently leading the Strategic Markets Group, which served the Energy, Communications, Media, and Travel and Transportation industries. Scott holds a BS in Business Administration from the University of Mississippi with a minor in Computer Science, and an Executive MBA from The Kellogg School of Management at Northwestern University. As the father to 4 aspiring athletes, Scott and his family fill-up re-useable water bottles, greatly reducing the number of plastic water bottles his family uses. Recycling a ton of plastic bottles can save about 3.8 barrels of oil.

Jordan Breslow, GENERAL COUNSEL
Jordan Breslow joins Silver Spring Networks with more than 25 years of experience guiding technology companies through complex legal and business transactions. Previously, Jordan served as Vice President and General Counsel of two highly successful private-to-public technology companies, and as a partner in two leading technology law firms. As General Counsel, Vice President and Secretary of Opsware, Jordan successfully guided the company from start-up through an IPO and on to its sale to HP for $1.65 Billion. Jordan also served as Legal Counsel for Cisco Systems; Co-Chair of the Intellectual Property Practice Group at Foster Pepper & Shefelman; and General Counsel and Managing Director, European Operations for Geoworks. Jordan earned his J.D. from Hastings College of the Law and his B.A. summa cum laude from San Francisco State University. Jordan drives a low-emission hybrid vehicle, and reduces his household footprint through extensive recycling, and the use of compact fluorescent bulbs, solar-powered exterior lighting and energy-efficient appliances.

Eric Dresselhuys, MARKETS
Eric has been with Silver Spring Networks since it was founded in 2002. Eric has more than ten years of experience in advanced metering and communications sales and marketing. He has held various roles in customer development, new product development and product introductions. Eric has presented a number of technical and commercial papers related to advanced metering and smart grid technologies and was a founder of OpenAMI. He currently serves on the board of directors of the DRAM Collation (Demand Response and Advanced Metering) and has served on the Automatic Meter Reading Association’s (AMRA) Marketing and Development Committee. Eric previously spent 9 years at Procter & Gamble in various sales and marketing roles. He holds a B.S. in economics from the University of Wisconsin, Madison. Last summer Eric installed solar-powered lights around his home.

George Flammer, CHIEF SCIENTIST
George has more than 20 years of experience in software and hardware development, most recently as Director of Communications Technology at Metricom where he was a key contributor in the design and development of the Ricochet high-speed data radio product and data service. In 1998 George co-founded G3M Corporation and served as its CTO where his primary responsibility was the design and development of the Panthera product line. George joined Rosum in September 2002 as Director of Systems Engineering, where he directed multidisciplinary teams in the development of real-world indoor positioning. George earned a BS in Electrical Engineering from Stanford University and has authored more than 20 domestic and international patents. Ron Goodall, MANUFACTURING
Ron joins Silver Spring Networks after four years with SpeedInfo, a traffic information data-service company, where he was co-founder and vice president of operations. Ron worked in various positions over the past 25 years, including executive manufacturing and operations positions at Hewlett-Packard, Sun Microsystems and DIVA Systems. Most notably he spent five years as vice president of operations at CellNet, where he built a domestic manufacturing operation of 350 people to support production volumes of over one million units per year. Ron holds a BS in Business Administration with an emphasis in Production and Operations Management from Arizona State University. Last year Ron sent all his relatives compact fluorescent light bulbs.

Carrie Kalinowski, FINANCE AND ADMINISTRATION
Carrie has been with Silver Spring Networks since 2004, and brings more than 10 years of experience in financial, legal and administrative operations to the Company. Prior to joining Silver Spring Networks, Carrie was Director of Finance at Ignis Optics, Inc. where she managed financial operations and human resources, and positioned the company for acquisition. Prior to joining Ignis Optics, Carrie was a member of the planning and finance team at The Walt Disney Company. Carrie holds a BA in Economics and an MBA from Stanford University. Carrie enjoys driving her hybrid vehicle, although she much prefers to run or bike when she can.

Dan Middleton, SALES
Dan brings over 20 years of sales leadership and experience to Silver Spring Networks. Prior to joining Silver Spring Networks, Dan was General Manager and Senior Vice of Riverstone Networking, where he helped shape and execute strategy resulting in its $207 million purchase by Lucent Technologies. Dan also held various executive positions with Nortel Networks and helped establish marketing strategy for a European joint venture with United Utilities. Dan holds a BS in Mechanical Engineering from the Georgia Institute of Technology and a MBA from Duke University’s Fuqua School of Business. Dan is always looking for ways to reduce energy consumption around the Middleton home.

John O’Farrell, PARTNERS
John has more than 25 years of US and international experience in business development and operational roles. Previously, he was Executive Vice President, Business Development, at Opsware, Inc., a leading provider of data center automation software. At Opsware, John was responsible for four successful acquisitions, strategic partnerships with EDS and Cisco, and the ultimate sale of Opsware to HP for $1.65 billion in September 2007. Prior to Opsware, John was Executive Vice President, International for Excite@Home. Earlier in his career, John held positions in the U.S. and Europe with US West, Booz Allen, Telecom Ireland and the European Commission. John has an MBA from the Stanford Graduate School of Business, where he graduated as an Arjay Miller Scholar, and a Bachelor of Electronic Engineering from University College Dublin. John has co-organized a “Cool Campaign” to reduce household carbon emissions in his local school district, outfitted his home with compact fluorescent bulbs and solar panels, and is proud of cutting his household’s electricity consumption by 30% over the past three years.

Matt Oja, CUSTOMER OPERATIONS
Matt joined Silver Spring Networks in early 2006. Most recently a member of the senior management team at Idacomm, Matt joins Silver Spring Networks with more than 25 years of experience in all aspects of customer operations, strategic planning, sales and marketing management, new revenue development and market expansion. Matt has been a board member of multiple industry boards (the United Power Line Council, DistribuTECH Advisory Committee, Power Line Communications Association, Metering International Advisory Board, and the State of Massachusetts Working Group on Electricity Deregulation). Matt also has held a variety of management positions with Progress Energy, Teledyne Brown Engineering and Scientific Atlanta. He holds a BBA in Marketing from the University of Iowa and an MBA from Emory University. Matt has replaced every lamp in his house with compact fluorescent bulbs and religiously adheres to his programmable thermostat’s “miser” settings.

Raj Vaswani, PRODUCT DEVELOPMENT
Raj has been with Silver Spring Networks since 2003, and brings more than 10 years of innovation, product development and product management experience in the Internet, software and networking industries to the Company. Prior to joining Silver Spring Networks, Raj was an Entrepreneur in Residence with Foundation Capital. Prior to Foundation Capital, Raj served as Vice President of Engineering at Epinions.com (now shopping.com), a high-traffic consumer-oriented Web site. Previously, Raj was Senior Scientist and Director of Engineering for the @Home Network (later Excite@Home). Raj holds a MS in Computer Science from the University of Washington and a BS in EECS from the University of California at Berkeley. Raj is an avid recycler and took the lead responsibility for Silver Spring Networks' paperless office initiative.
